Matt Scala, Senior Sales Manager for AFC Transport: “Goal is to scale and grow AFC Transport in West Central Florida and beyond.”
Chicagoland-based AFC Transport, ranked 27th on Transport Topics’ list of the largest specialized trucking companies, recently announced that Matt Scala has joined the company as senior sales manager for the Tampa, Florida office. This is the first position filled as AFC Transport expands their headquarters to Florida.
Scala joins a transportation company that has grown into a large national logistics enterprise in just the last decade. The company is a certified woman-owned company that continues to keep its people-first culture while investing heavily in cutting-edge technology.
Having grown up in the Tampa area, Scala has spent the last 11 years focused on logistics’ sales and operations. Knowing this area well, Scala noted, “There is a need for a major logistics company in West Central Florida to help fill the void.”
According to Kyle Ingraham, president of AFC Logistics, “The logistics industry continues to grow in the United States. We want to service our clients where they are, especially during this difficult time in supply chain logistics.” Ingraham also noted, “We are choosing the right people to grow our business throughout the country. Matt is a great addition to our sales team.”
Scala is ready to jump in right away. “I love the ever-changing climate of logistics,” says Scala. “I love helping my clients and the country get products to where they need to go. This is more than a sales position.”
